Tilley & Del
REVIEWS
"I have had the privilege of watching Tilley in various performing and presenting roles, and it’s fair to say that Tilley is a natural entertainer. Their 10 minute slot at the Maidstone Pride cabaret brought the house down, with a unique set comprising thoughtful original poetry, singing and audience interaction. Tilley has a way of making the audience feel completely at ease, while simultaneously keeping them on their toes with their sharp wit and whimsical wordplay. An expert improviser, Tilley seems to always leave the audience wanting more, even if they cannot put their finger on why. Tilley’s unique brand of entertainment is often beautifully supported by their fabulous piggy companion, Del. There is simply nothing like the compelling duo, and I would urge anyone to consider featuring their talents, whether as performers or presenters. A joy to watch." ~ Lily Vincent-Frankland, Drama & Theatre Director at Square Pegs Arts;
"Tilley and Del cast a welcoming spell over audiences, you can't help but love their warm energy, which brings people together in a beautiful way." ~ Iona, Bubble Club Manager;
"Tilley and Del are an engaging duo who offer an incomparable, original experience with Puffing and Wooling.
Through their work with our Theatre Company, Tilley has proved to be a reliable and committed member of the team, and is undoubtedly an extraordinary theatre maker and performer, offering authentic and unique talent." ~ Beth James, Artistic Director of Square Pegs Arts;
"Tilley is the complete performer. Alongside their best friend, Del the pig, they have the ability to engage with audiences of all ages. Tilley is open about their autism, and it gives them the extra power to connect deeply with those in their audience who are neurodiverse. I’ve seen them running a puffing and wooling session, and listened to people on their way out saying how relaxed they are and reconnected with the world. I worked as the HR Director at Wellcome Trust and I was blown away when I attended a tour that they had organised of the exhibits. Tilley and Del took it in turns to speak and answered lots of detailed questions with enthusiasm, adding more complex layers as they went. Tilley is not difficult to recommend. They are one of a kind." ~ Ted Smith, Author, HR Consultant & Trustee;
